Nichols Park Disc Golf Putting Basket in Chicago, Illinois

Nichols Park Disc Golf Putting Basket is a small disc golf facility within John Fountain Park in Chicago’s North Side. The course is part of the Chicago Park District and offers a putting green with a single basket, designed for practice and skill development. It serves as a low-pressure space for players to refine their short-game technique, particularly putting and approach shots.

The venue is free to use and open to the public, though hours may vary seasonally. As a putting basket, it lacks the full 18-hole layout of larger disc golf courses, making it ideal for beginners or those looking to warm up before playing elsewhere. The location is accessible via public transit, with nearby bus and train stops. Visitors should check the Chicago Park District’s website for updates on maintenance or closures, as the facility is subject to standard park hours and weather-related adjustments.

The site has received consistent positive feedback from the few reviewers available, though visitor numbers are low. No amenities like restrooms or seating are listed, so players should bring their own equipment and supplies. The Chicago Park District’s contact information is available through their website for general inquiries.
