Many Feathers Paragliding Launch

Many Feathers Paragliding Launch is a small paragliding takeoff site in Zortman, Montana, near the eastern edge of the state. It serves as a designated launch point for pilots flying in the region’s open terrain, which includes rolling hills and expansive valleys. The area is known for its relatively low wind speeds and wide-open spaces, making it suitable for beginners and experienced paragliders alike.

The venue specializes in paragliding, offering a single, clearly marked takeoff area for pilots to launch their gliders. Accessibility is straightforward, as the site is located in a rural setting with minimal obstructions. Hours are not strictly regulated, as paragliding depends on weather conditions, but pilots typically operate during daylight hours when winds are favorable. The single review available gives it a perfect rating, though visitor feedback beyond that is limited.

Visitors should contact the local paragliding community or check with the Zortman area for current conditions before arriving. Expect a basic setup with no formal facilities—pilots bring their own gear and rely on the natural terrain. Arrive early to secure a launch spot, especially on weekends or during peak flying seasons. No formal registration or membership is required, but pilots should be self-sufficient and prepared for variable weather.
